Millions of people around the world are cut off from God’s Word. Some lack access due to barriers such as poverty, illiteracy, vision impairment, and deafness. Others are cut off because of discrimination, oppression, and persecution. Still others live in places so remote it is difficult to reach them with God’s Word.

That’s why for the past 200 years, American Bible Society has been dedicated to finding new ways to provide God’s Word where access is limited. Our goal is to deliver the Word of God to every location, in every format, for every person. In total, we have put nearly 7 billion copies of the Bible in the hands of people around the world.

We pioneer Bible formats that can reach all people. This includes the following:

• Braille Bibles for the blind
• audio versions of the Bible for oral cultures
• sign language Scripture translations for deaf communities
• children’s Bibles for vulnerable children and youth
• downloadable free Bibles in thousands of languages
• leveraging technological tools to reach people in closed nations and remote areas

And you can be a part of this extraordinary work to distribute God’s Word where it is needed most.

First, Pray!

Jesus commands us in Mark 16:15 (CEV) to, “Go and preach the good news to everyone in the world.” We are called to take God’s message of love to all people. Your prayers can help us do that. Here’s how you can pray.

• Pray for innovation. Pray for us as we develop Bible formats and tools to reach people in hard-to-reach and hostile areas.
• Pray for our ministry partners. Ask God to grant them protection, provision, and open doors as they work with us to deliver God’s Word.
• Pray for God’s grace. Ask God to superintend over all efforts to make his Word accessible and to remove obstacles and opposition to this work.

Second, Get Involved!

There are several ways you can get involved with our ministry to distribute Bibles. Here are a few:

Share this video with others. Spread the news of how God’s Word is reaching unreached people groups through ministry programs like End-to-End. Through End-to-End, people experience a gospel film, a Bible listening group, church community, and receive a Bible.
