Pray for Victims of the Shooting in Orlando, Florida
Ask God to bring spiritual healing after the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.
In the wake of the horrific shooting in Orlando, please join us in praying for the hurting and the afflicted. Sunday’s attack was the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. At least 49 people were killed and at least 53 people were injured according to CNN.
People in Orlando and across our nation are suffering deeply. Lift up the families and friends of victims as they mourn and search for answers. Ask God to equip leaders on the ground—doctors, pastors and government officials—as they attempt to deliver hope and healing. And pray for spiritual healing in Orlando as the community grieves this life-shattering tragedy.
As you pray, consider meditating on Psalm 13, in which David cries out to God with sorrow in his heart.
Psalm 13 (GNTD): A Prayer for Help
How much longer will you forget me, Lord? Forever?
How much longer will you hide yourself from me?
How long must I endure trouble?
How long will sorrow fill my heart day and night?
How long will my enemies triumph over me?
Look at me, O Lord my God, and answer me.
Restore my strength; don’t let me die.
Don’t let my enemies say, “We have defeated him.”
Don’t let them gloat over my downfall.
I rely on your constant love;
I will be glad, because you will rescue me.
I will sing to you, O Lord,
because you have been good to me.
