Lift Up San Bernardino in Prayer
Cry out to God for those suffering from the deadly shooting in Southern California.
In the wake of the deadly shooting in San Bernardino, California, please join us in praying for the hurting and the afflicted. According to CNN, at least 14 people were killed and 17 people were injured when multiple shooters attacked Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California on the morning of Wednesday, December 2.
The people of Southern California are suffering deeply and many victims asked for prayer via texts and tweets during the attack.
As emergency responders and law enforcement officials attempt to deliver hope, healing and answers, pray for those on the ground—medical professionals, pastors and volunteers—and for those affected by the attack. Pray for the restoration of a community torn apart by this life-shattering tragedy.
As you pray, meditate on these three Psalms, which remind us of God’s strength in the midst of troubling circumstances:
- Psalm 121:1-2 (GNTD)
I look to the mountains; where will my help come from? My help will come from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. - Psalm 37:39 (GNTD)
The Lord saves the righteous and protects them in times of trouble. - Psalm 138:3 (GNTD)
You answered me when I called to you; with your strength you strengthened me.
