World Assembly: Bible Societies seek God’s guidance for a new season of Bible ministry
Representatives from 150 nations gathered for the 2016 World Assembly in Philadelphia.

Bible Society leaders from more than 150 countries gathered in Philadelphia in May for the 2016 United Bible Societies (UBS) World Assembly hosted by American Bible Society. Held every six years, the UBS World Assembly provides Bible Societies with a chance to rally around a common vision for sharing the life-changing message of God’s Word as effectively as possible.
Participants discussed topics including Bible translation, engaging youth with the Bible and Bible-based trauma healing. “I prayed that God’s Spirit would prevail here this week, and he has guided us,” said UBS Director General Michael Perreau after the gathering. With God’s Spirit guiding them, Bible Society leaders are sharing the Bible with those who need it most in their countries.
