First San Bible Arrives In Burkina Faso Amid Tense Times

San Language Bible brings believers in Burkina Faso closer to God

The first Bible in the San Language arrived with joy and ceremony in Burkina Faso.

Over a quarter of a million people speak San, many of whom live in Burkina Faso and neighboring countries. Before the San Bible, believers who only spoke San relied on community translators to connect with their faith in their heart language.

Now, they are closer to the Bible, and to God, than ever. As one bishop and San speaker said, “Today, God speaks to us in San, and from now on, He will continue to speak to us in San.”

Thank you to our generous partners for bringing God’s Word to believers in Burkina Faso. Pray that all may have access to God’s Word in their heart language, to better understand His promise.

Your word is a lamp to guide me
and a light for my path.

Psalm 119:105 GNT
